" We decided to foster after losing 2 elderly dogs in 2 months. We still have 2 older, well adjusted dogs and thought they would be great for teaching foster dogs the ropes. We also have 2 children, ages 7 and 9. Fostering is such a rewarding learning experience for them!
It's always hard letting them go. There is always talk of keeping each foster dog. But we all know if that happened, there would be one less foster space available. It is truly incredible to see the transformation in each dog. They enter our home scared and uncertain, but when they are ready for adoption - each dog is happy and well adjusted. This is what makes it easier to let them go to their FURever home. Then, we are ready to change the life of the next dog in need!" -Muttley Crue Foster Parents |
ABOUT MUTTLEYCRUEWe are a volunteer/foster rescue group based in Cleveland, OH dedicated to rescuing homeless, death row and owner surrender dogs/puppies.
We have a special place in our hearts for the bully breeds and LOVE pitbulls, but will take in any breed in need. We made a commitment to our local shelters here in Cleveland, but when able, we also pull from pounds in southern Ohio or take in owner surrenders. We appropriately vet them and get them healthy. Most are underweight, neglected or abused. Some have major health concerns - heartworm disease, orthopedic issues, etc. We are funded by ourselves & by the generous donations of others. The adoption fees help cover the pets' vet bills (spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchips, etc..) and allow us to continue to save other dogs. In addition to fostering and placing homeless animals we help network any animal in need. |
